    Europe has been an established motor racing heaven for decades. With many of the world’s biggest brands being founded in Europe e.g. Ferrari founded in Italy, Peugeot founded France and both Mercedes and Porsche founded in Germany, it comes as no surprise. With the birth of such a wealth of car manufacturers in Europe, motor racing has flourished. All over, some of the world’s most well-known race tracks host some of the greatest events in the motor racing calendar all year-round, attracting visitors from all over the globe. If you’re a racing fanatic looking to embark on a trip to Europe to visit some of these tracks, here is a hand selected list of some of the greatest race tracks in Europe.Try Updates Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps: We start our selection in Belgium, which is home to Spa-Francorchamps, a 7km racetrack with a capacity of up to 70,000 people. In 1920, both Jules de Their and Henri Langlois Van Ophem designed Spa-Francorchamps. The original version of the track included public roads which ran between the town of Stavelot, Malmedy and Francorchamps. This circuit is the home of many famous racing events including of course the Belgium Grand Prix and the 25 hours of Spa. Silverstone: Next in our list, we have the world-famous Silverstone circuit, which is nestled in the British countryside between the counties of Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire. Silverstone’s longest circuit is approximately 5.9km and has a capacity of a staggering 150,000, attracting visitors from far and wide. It has hosted some of the biggest events in British motorsport history, including the British Grand Prix, which was first hosted in 1948. It also hosts the British part of the Motor GP series, coining Silverstone the home of British motorsports. Silverstone is also known as a famous spot for driving experiences, where people come and drive top performance cars such as Formula 1 vehicles around the track, further adding to its reputation as the home of British motor sports. Monza: The third track on our list is Autodromo Nazionale Monza. This racetrack is located just north of Milan, close to the city of Monza. The track was built in 1922, in the Royal Villa of Monza park, which is surrounded by woodland. The track has a capacity of just over 113,000 people and is home to a range of prestigious motor racing events, including the Italian Grand Prix, which has been hosted here year or year since 1950.
